Why etiquette?
Want a good job? Promotion?
Knowing your stuff is, of course, important. But it is not enough.
The secret to success lies in your ability to relate to others, and your image as a well-mannered, moral person.
You need to understand that no boss likes to see badly behaving employees in front of the customers,
or uncooperative, dishonest workers who can ruin the reputation of the company.
Understanding bosses' concern
Without exception, all Fortune 500 CEOs agree, the biggest challenge that they face is their ability in building a team with the best talents. The higher the position, the more it is not just about the ability of a candidate, but "people skills" such as etiquette, image, and ethics.
Soft skills are the hardest to come by. They not only require a certain amount of training, but a long period of time of self-cultivation to ingrain a set of moral values.
